Hello my friends, and welcome to another exciting edition of the Gimli Gazette, where I make sense out of the world around you so that you do not have to bother. When you see the world through my eyes, you behold continual beauty and truth as only a horse can discern.
I have been very busy lately as sessions have begun again with the children. This is my favorite time of the year. Time spent with each child is precious to me.
I received a question from one of them, who describes herself as my biggest fan. She asked, “Were you jealous when Mr. Connor had a photo shoot and you did not?” The simple answer to this question is, “Not at all!” When I participate in a photo shoot, it is done with professional equipment, lighting, and with a staff that I have personally vetted. Financial obligations are handled up front by my agent, and I (and I alone!) determine which photos will appear in any international publications.
I was happy that Mr. Connor was getting some attention, but it did not rise to the level of my modeling sessions. Connor is a friend, and I was happy for his moment in the spotlight (even if the light pales before my radiant shoots). There was nothing for me to get jealous over.
I was pleased to see the response to our second Heirloom Plant Sale of 2024. Folks came out in the rain to purchase these tasty plants and ask gardening questions of Miss Mo. I made myself available for selfies (at no charge!) to all visitors at the ranch that day. Some freely admitted that they purchased plants only as an excuse to spend more time with me. It certainly was money well-spent! Thanks to all the volunteers who helped to make the day a big success.
While I was working on my memoirs in my paddock last week, I was interrupted by the sound of a horse ringtone on someone’s phone. What disturbed me was not only the poor quality of the sound, but the fact that the phone owner did not request a recording from yours truly to put on her phone. I see this as an untapped revenue stream which I can monetize for future artistic pursuits. I am also working on a Gimli App, where folks can purchase my many recordings and read my blog twenty-four hours before the rest of the world sees it. I hope it is available soon.
Well that’s all for this week. I hope all of you have great plans for Spring. I know that I will be busy with the children and providing social media content for all my fans.
Happy Trails,
Gimli April 15, 2024
