Hello my friends, and welcome to another exciting edition of the Gimli Gazette, a Fount of Wisdom to seekers thirsty for truth, justice, and the Gimli Way.
Even though sessions with the children have finished for the year, there is still a lot happening at the ranch. Mercy Spring Ranch (MSR) was recently represented at the Pioneer Equine Hospital’s big Education Expo on November 16th. We were able to display a lot of our Christmas Crafts for sale, as well as offer mini horse hugs from Barbie and Tinkerbell. The workshops were very informative, and many new friends were made. I’m sure that countless attendees asked about me when they came by the MSR booth. I just have that kind of impact on events, even when I do not attend.
Other upcoming events include the Escalon and Riverbank Christmas parades. Staff and volunteers dress up in lights and costumes and march around town on a float designed by yours truly. I thought of attending this year, but I fear that my presence would pull too much attention away from the other attractions. I don’t want to make the parade all about me, but that is what would happen if I were to stroll down the streets. My burden of fame weights heavily upon me, but I endure it for the sake of the ranch. So instead I asked Barbie and Tinkerbell to represent the ranch and give the watching crowd a taste of what goes on at MSR. They will be dressed in costumes representing a nativity theme (as a donkey and a camel).
This is the time of year to be thankful, and what better way to express one’s thanks than by giving to Mercy Spring Ranch. Giving Tuesday falls on December 3rd this year. Your year-end gifts can make a big difference in providing quality ministry to the children of our community (as well as provide food and medical care to the whole ranch herd). You can also support the ranch by purchasing any of the attractive MSR merch from our website at: https://shop.printyourcause.com/campaigns/MercySpringRanch. I describe the merch as attractive, since you may see my lovely features displayed on some of the items.
Well that’s all for this posting. I hope you are all surviving the holidays in good spirits. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy Trails,
Gimli November 22, 2024
