Hello my friends, and welcome to another edition of the Gimli Gazette, where I provide insight into our troubled times, and offer an equine perspective that is unique in its depth and brilliance.
The big news is that sessions are starting this week. I am very excited to be spending time with the children. I have missed them all over the past few months. Hopefully they will have lots of written questions for me to answer in this blog.
Dear Tater Tot, our latest mini horse, has been getting a lot of attention at the ranch lately. He has been learning new skills with pulling carts and interacting with human folks. When he wanders past the arena or our paddocks, we cannot help but give him a discerning eye. I have taught him a lot of sneaky tricks over the past few months to drive Miss Mo and Mr. John crazy. I hope that he does not forget them in his quest to become such a well-behaved member of the ranch.
And speaking of members of the ranch, many of you may have noticed that we have a lot of new chickens in the coop. I must say that they are a rather noisy bunch, even though they have been moved to the other side of the ranch. My sacred schedule of quiet meditation and silent study is being disrupted by their continual chatter. I must speak with Miss Mo about preserving my personal space (perhaps by soundproofing my paddock).
The ranch’s last Heirloom Plant Sale was such a success that we plan to do another one on Saturday, April 12th from 9am to 1pm. Details are on the MSR webpage. In addition to a wide selection of plants for sale, there is the opportunity for selfies with yours truly. I had lots of visitors to my paddock during the last sale. I made sure that I took the time to greet each and every one of my fans personally. It surely was the high point of their week!
Well that’s all for this posting. I will keep you all informed when news breaks at the ranch.
Happy Trails,
Gimli March 31, 2025
