Hello my dear readers. It is time for another romp down the hot and dusty trail that is the life of Gimli at Mercy Spring Ranch (MSR).
I begin this week with a follow-up question from a young lady who has written to me before. She writes, “I was wondering … if you had a choice, would you want to get painted, ridden, or have a bath?”
This is a very good question. All of these activities are lots of fun. Since two of these activities are often joined together, I would pick getting painted. This is usually followed by a good bath, so I get two fun activities with a single choice. Then I top it off with a nice roll on the ground to dry off. Being ridden by the children is always a joy for me, so I keep that option on my plate whenever possible.
I hope all of you have had the chance to visit the new “Merch” page on the MSR website. Right now there is plenty of merchandise available for purchase. Click on the link in the description to see all the options.
If you look closely at the horse graphic on the Poop Patrol T-Shirt, it should be obvious who they picked as the model for this design. I asked my agent to suspend all royalties and posing fees that I would normally charge, so that the ranch will receive the full proceeds from any purchase. As you can see, my modeling career continues to keep pace with my acting, literary, and musical pursuits. All of these accomplishments have been well-documented in earlier issues of the Gimli Gazette.
I am also considering a new career as a superhero. As you can see in the photo below, my fans have designed a new cape for me (as well as the SG logo for Super Gimli, which I am still debating on). I can fly through the air with the greatest of ease; but out of concern for the safety of the children (and our insurance coverage), I will not fly around at the ranch.
I’ve been using my plastic blue grain feeder lately to make music. Most musicians have multiple instruments, so I am building up a collection of feeders to cover my many musical styles. This smaller one that you see below is suitable for acoustic recordings. I use it for my ballads and laments (over the reduction of grain in my feeder!).
Well, that’s all for this week. We appreciate all of your support on the website, and the many volunteers helping out at the ranch. I also appreciate all of your kind wishes on Facebook. I am feeling much better now.
Happy Trails,
Gimli June 27, 2022
