HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Only 5 days until #GivingTuesday2023!
On this blessed Thanksgiving Day, we want to take a few moments to share some of the many things we at Mercy Spring Ranch are especially thankful for in 2023!
First, we are thankful for the volunteers who come to help make things happen at the ranch. We don’t exaggerate when we say that everything that is built, maintained, offered, and improved here is because of those who roll up their sleeves and get things done. From the youngest to the oldest, we cherish every person who volunteered at the ranch in 2023!
Speaking of volunteers, we are incredibly thankful for our volunteer staff (session leaders and greeters). They spend countless hours doing a myriad of tasks to keep the ranch running safely and smoothly. They share their hearts, their wisdom, their joy, and lots and lots of their time and resources, to make every child and family feel loved and cared for.
We are thankful, also, for our board of directors and officers who sit through long meetings, guiding decisions that move this ministry forward and keep it healthy.
We can’t say enough about those who donate financially to support Mercy Spring Ranch. As we mentioned previously, running a ranch program like this is expensive and costs continue to skyrocket. It never ceases to amaze us how the Lord gives us just what we need when we need it. Often in some remarkably creative ways! To our donors, we are so very grateful for all you do.
We’d especially like to mention one organization that has made some of our biggest, hairiest projects a reality. The Raymus Foundation has awarded Mercy Spring Ranch a grant for the past five years. It is because of their generosity we were able to purchase our big paddock cover, all our fencing material for both pastures and the perimeter of the property, and all four phases of our electrical project, which will be completed this spring! Thank you!
We are thankful to Dr. Kami from Pioneer Equine Hospital for the excellent care she gives our horses. This includes donating electro-acupuncture treatments to our boy Connor to keep him comfortable and able to continue helping so many kiddos.
We are so thankful for our ranch families and the children who come down the driveway to search for hope, peace, and healing from the back of a horse. Your courage and willingness to try is an inspiration to us all!
Finally, we are eternally grateful and thankful that Jesus loves and guides this ministry. This is His ranch, and we are filled with awe at what He does here. Thank you, Lord, for calling us all to such a time as this!
